A clean cut romance with so much suspense and comedy

Cindy has been my lifelong best friend but please do not consider me biased! I am not much of a reader....and always found romance novels to be a bit too trashy for me, so I would not ordinarily have read this book. From the first word to the last, she captured my interest and kept me reading beginning to end.....I must admit I recognized some events that took place in this book from her own life and yet as she told the stories and embellished upon them I was literally rolling on the floor. This is a clean cut romance with so much suspense and comedy....Cannot wait to read her next book!

Love on Laird Avenue: A Comedic Tale

posted Feb 3, 2012, 12:13 PM by Cindy A Christiansen   [ updated Feb 3, 2012, 12:13 PM ]

In Love on Laird Avenue, author Cindy Christiansen delivers a story full of romance, humor, and even a little bit of mystery and danger. Tatum Stewart, the sheltered college graduate daughter of a very wealthy man, is desperate to gain independence. So desperate, in fact, that she jumps into a real estate deal before having her old ‘tumble-down’ bungalow fully inspected. Believing new electrical outlets is one of few needs she has, Tatum hires Ryan Bulldarren for the job.

Drop-dead gorgeous Ryan Bulldarren, of Bulldarren Construction, takes one look at Tatum Stewart and gets tongue-tied and flustered and leaves the house, agreeing to do the work without inspecting the house to see what needs to be done.

A comedic tale of romance and mystery follows, as Ryan works to complete the renovations on Tatum’s house and a couple of incompetent thugs try to break into her house and steal a treasure buried in the basement from Prohibition times.

Love on Laird Avenue: Entertaining and Heart-warming

I very much enjoyed reading this humorous tale of a couple bringing their own challenges together to become the source of frustration, problem solution, caring, and love for each other in the face of seemingly unending adversity.  The characters are so well developed that I was certain I knew people just like them all.  That personal identification seemed to bring me into the story.  I found myself craving more each time I had to put it down to tend to other matters at hand.  The research also brought validity to the setting and the circumstances involved.  It is a very entertaining, heart warming story.

Love on Laird Avenue: Characters are Clever

I've read Cindy's other books and just couldn't help commenting on her latest. The author has a way of creating characters that you can relate to. The main characters are clever and witty and leave you smiling every time. It's full of miscommunication that leads you down the path of comedic relief and suspense. I couldn't put this one down, and I can't wait for the next book.

I love all of Cindy's books, but Love on Laird Avenue is my favorite so far.  I love Cindy's comedic-wit. When's the next one coming out?

Love on Laird Avenue: You'll Wish It Didn't End

Love on Laird Avenue is my favorite book to date by author Cindy A. Christiansen.  With likeable characters who face real-life issues, romance that sizzles at the slightest contact, local history that adds another layer of interest, humorous dialogue and a few plot twists, you'll wish this feel-good book didn't end.
